The 2001 Display
InstallationThe year 2001's installation of the Newport Pagnell Christmas Lights was completed on Sunday 18th November. Switch On DayThis was Saturday 24th November 2001. Click here to read about switch on day. ProblemsThere were hardly any problems with the 2001 display. After the first week of the illuminations the timing was modified on the sequencer to ensure that the display did not turn off until 23:15hrs. It was also noted, in early January, that one (or maybe two) of the strings near Woolworths was not working. Switch off DayThe lights were officially turned off at 5pm on Sunday 6th January 2002. Removal of LightsThe lights were taken down during the three Sundays commencing Sunday 13th January 2002. |
